Prerequisites

  • The WorkBuddy Importer service must be enabled on your tenancy

  • Users will require Configuration > Access Tenancy and Configuration > Manage Tenancy permissions

  • Users will require Inbound Email > Access and Inbound Email > Manage permissions

The WorkBuddy Importer requires a service connection on your WorkBuddy tenancy. This will create a Forwarding Email address.

The Forwarding Email address is the address you will forward your work order emails to so that they can be processed in your WorkBuddy tenancy.

The forwarded emails are filtered through whitelisted domains which prevent unrelated emails arriving in your Inbound Emails module.

Setting up the Service Connection

To setup the WorkBuddy Importer Service Connection:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Service Connections

  2. Select the Blue "+" button in the top right of the screen

  3. Select the "Add" text next to the "WorkBuddy Importer" option

  4. Under the "Allowed Email Domains" field, enter the whitelisted Customer domains, then select the blue "+ Add" button to add them

  5. After you have added all the domains, select the "Activate service" button to turn the WorkBuddy Importer on.

You can now copy and save the Forwarding Email address, then close the window.

Work order emails need to be forwarded to the Forwarding Email address to be processed on your WorkBuddy tenancy. Now that you have saved the Forwarding Email address, use it to setup up a forwarding rule in your email client.
